Step 1: Pass the end of the beading wire through a crimp bead and through the tube on one side of the wire protector. You will notice that there is a tube on each end of the wire protector, with a channel in between.

Step 2: Pass the beading wire back through the tube and crimp bead.

Step 3: Pass tail of beading wire back through a couple beads.

Step 4: As you pull on the beading wire it will lay in the channel. Making sure that your crimp bead & Wire Protectors fit together without any spaces. Flatten the crimp bead using a chain/flat nose pliers.

Alternatively, crimp the crimp bead using Crimping Pliers. In this case, you might need to slightly pinch the Wire Protector so that the two ends touch gently together before crimping.

Step 5: Trim off the excess beading wire.

Picture shown above a correct finished look. You will not see the end of beading wire.

Do not trim off the beading wire right after the crimp bead.

All the following 3 new designs are created in such that, the students will be able to pick up beading hobby (in correct skills) in a merely 3 – 3 1/2 hours.

Let’s see what students will be able to learn from these projects:

1) White Pearl Necklace

Techniques:

a) Stringing with Nylon Coated Beading Wire

b) Learn to handle the following findings: Wire Protector, Crimp Beads, Jumprings, Lobster Class & Extender Chain

c) Learn to end the Beading Wire neatly.

2) Black & White Bracelet

Techniques:

a) Understand the 2D Diagram

b) Learn the Double Thread Weaving skill

c) Learn to handle the following findings: Clamshell, Crimp Beads, Jumprings, Lobster Clasp & Extender Chain.

3) Amethyst Flower Ring

Techniques:

a) Simple Double Threads Double Layer Weaving

b) Learn to end boto end threads nicely.

All the beads used in the class are CRYSTALLIZED – Swarovski Elements. Bring them home after finishing the above 3 projects!

Beading can be an expensive hobby, but it can also be very very affordable.

This post is to give you an idea of using Nylon Coated Beading Wire in making earrings. The best part is, if you don’t like the earring, scrap them. All you wasted is only cheap crimp beads, beading wire & a little bit of time.

The maximum cost of the above earring is RM0.80 / pair.
